Helping Communities Prepare for Extreme Weather Events!

What is this study about?

With climate change, extreme weather events, like flooding, occur more frequently and strongly. Tufts University researchers and community partners are conducting a study on how social connections play a role in people’s preparing for these events. We hope to understand and, ultimately, empower and support communities most at risk when severe weather occurs.

When & where is the study?

The study was done in Chinatown & Grove Hall (Roxbury,) and was from January to June 2022.
