Our Values
Local Leadership
Empowering and allowing space for people with community-specific knowledge and relationships.
Equity
Actively addressing the historical and structural inequities that cause some, including low-income and undocumented individuals and communities of color, to be disproportionately threatened by climate impacts and marginalized in climate deliberations.
Service & Action
Emphasizing concrete education, service, and planning initiatives that will engage a wide range of community members and foster long-term awareness and actions sustaining community resilience.
Mutual Benefits
Not only preparing neighborhoods for climate change, but also helping to make communities more healthy, sustainable, and equitable.
Collaboration
Drawing on knowledge and experience from the widest possible set of stakeholders, including the civic, public, and private sectors.
CREW is being incubated by the federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit Better Future Project, Inc.
We are also a proud member of Massachusetts Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
CREW was honored to be a Host Committee Member of the Earthshot Prize, Boston 2022.
The Earthshot Prize was initiated by Prince William to support outstanding projects fighting the environmental crisis. Inspired by JFK’s Moonshot, Earthshot aims to protect and restore nature, clean our air, revive our oceans, build a waste free world, and fix our climate by 2030.
