Please join the Cushman Library as we host a presentation by the Bernardston Emergency Management Director and Deputy Director regarding Family and Home Emergency Preparation.

They will share an overview of both Town and State plans and then details regarding how you individually can prepare your family and your home for a climate emergency, and what resources are available to help with that. They will talk about what to have in your home to make sure you are prepared for (as an example) being snowed in for four days straight with no electricity, creating a "go to kit" should you need to flee your home in an emergency, and having a communication plan which includes a place to gather away from your home should your family become separated, and how to designate someone as a contact person through climate emergencies.
