Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute Field Trip

Join the Oaks Bluff Public Library as we venture to Woods Hole to explore the wonderful world of WHOI. Tour the rare books collection at the MBL Library, get to know the sea creatures at the Woods Hole Aquarium and end your day at WHOI’s Exhibit Center. The group will depart on the 9:30 AM ferry (out of VH) and return on the 3:45 PM ferry (into VH). This program will require a fair bit of walking and navigating flights of stairs. The library will provide boat tickets and the organized tours. Patrons are welcome to bring a bag lunch, or purchase their own lunch in Woods Hole.

Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Email: [email protected]; call 508-693-9433; or come to the Reference Desk with questions.

Funded by the Library Friends of Oak Bluffs through the Gordon Goodwin Maritime Fund to preserve our maritime history and culture. This program is part of our third annual Maritime Month and part of Climate Preparedness Week.
