Heading for Extinction (And What To Do About It)

Join Chilmark Public Library for an Extinction Rebellion presentation about the state of where we are and what to do about it!

The planet is in ecological crisis: we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event this planet has experienced. Scientists believe we may have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown. This is an emergency. In this public talk, speakers from the Extinction Rebellion Massachusetts will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychology around climate change, and offer solutions through the study of social movements.

Extinction Rebellion is an international movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to halt mass extinction and minimize the risk of social collapse. Sanja Zdjelar is an independent filmmaker and an environmental activist. She lives in Boston, and is a frequent visitor to Cape Cod and the Islands. Learn more at https://rebellion.earth/
