Climate and Migration are increasingly becoming central issues in the overall struggles of working people and the socially oppressed worldwide. The drive for profits and the control of resources worldwide have produced extreme conflict, death, and the devastation of peoples’ lives as well as environmental degradation forcing millions to flee. As the climate changes and produces extreme weather, this intensifies the existing dynamic. As we are seeing in the Amazon, the struggle for the control of land resources has led to huge fires and the forced dispossession of indigenous peoples. Please join the Boston May Day Coalition and the Better Future Project in a discussion of the interrelationship between Migration and Climate and how we can confront the crisis we face in the world today.
