Assessing and Preparing Your Family and Community for Climate Crisis Impact

Are you witnessing or experiencing the impact of climate change now on family, friends or community? Western fires and Southern hurricanes are not the only possibilities for which families and communities need to be prepared. The Greater Boston Community currently is being impacted by the climate crisis, and this will deepen in future years. How can you assess the needs of your local community and begin to prepare your family and neighbors with knowledge and tools? This workshop is being presented in conjunction with the Global Climate Strike week and will be an opportunity to learn and reflect together on the radical shifts that need to happen on local levels.

This event will feature presentations from Rev. Dr. Michelle Walsh, Tuckerman Creative Ministries for Justice & Healing, Rev. Aaron Payson, UU Trauma Response Ministry, and Gideon Nachman, CREW.

Food will be provided, and RSVP is necessary through this website or to [email protected].

Please let us know what town/municipality you are affiliated with in your RSVP, if you able.

Directions may be found at http://www.uuum.org/?page_id=1372 and the location is accessible via the Roxbury Crossing or Dudley Square T-Stations with ample parking around the building.

This event is sponsored by CREW (Communities Responding to Extreme Weather), The Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry, and the UU Trauma Response Ministry.
